Team news as Swansea City make a change for Birmingham trip

|

The teams are in for this evening’s match at St Andrew’s as Swansea City face Birmingham City – led by former Swans coach Pep Clotet.

Steve Cooper has made just one change following Sunday’s home win as Ben Cabango is back in the starting line-up to replace Wayne Routledge.

It looks like it could be a back three again as Guehi, Cabango are joined by three full-backs – Connor Roberts, Kyle Naughton and Jake Bidwell.

After Cardiff’s defeat against Blackburn Rovers last night, the gap between us and that 6th place remains at 4 points so Steve Cooper’s side have got to take this opportunity to keep their play-off hopes alive.

The Swans go into the game tonight on the back of a 2-1 home win against Sheffield Wednesday. A match that saw a poor first-half performance before showing an improvement in the second half thanks to Brewster’s excellent strike. Andre Ayew then calmly doubled our lead from the penalty spot before Garry Monk’s side got a late goal that proved only a consolation.

Birmingham have failed to score in three of their last 4 league matches losing 1-0 against Fulham and 3-0 to Huddersfield most recently. They are without a win in their last 9.
