After Jonny Williams coming out and saying his agent had informed him of Swansea’s interest, his agent now says the Swans aren’t one of the six clubs he has spoken to about the player.

As we reported here<>/a> at the beginning of June, Jonny Williams said that his agent had informed him that Swansea City were interested in buying him from Crystal Palace:

‘I spoke to my agent who says (Swansea) were interested,’

‘I need to play football, preferably at Palace, but if not I’d have to consider playing elsewhere.

However, his agent has told the Evening Post that he has had no contact from the Swans regarding the Welshman:

‘If Swansea are keen on him they haven’t told me ? and I’m his agent.

‘I’ve spoken to six clubs about Jonny and Swansea wasn’t one of them.

‘You’d think Swansea would be a perfect match with the way they play, but I haven’t spoken to them.

‘At the end of the day, Jonny is still at Crystal Palace and we have to respect that.”

Williams has struggled to earn himself a regular first team place at Crystal Palace and is therefore open to moves away from Selhurst Park. That, however, hasn’t prevented him from earning caps for Wales at all levels from under-17s – plus 6 senior caps.

Should Swansea City look to buy Jonny Williams from Crystal Palace?
