Striker Lee Thorpe is set to join League Two side, Peterborough United on loan. The former Bristol City frontman has found it difficult to get a chance in the first team so is looking elsewhere for first team football.

He first rejected a loan move to Northampton last week but his Swansea career is in much doubt after deciding a loan move was best for his career.

Chances of his return look slim however as Jackett told the Evening Post: ”There is a possibility that the loan could be extended to three months,” said Swansea boss Kenny Jackett.

”That would take Lee up to the transfer window and then the move could be made permanent.

”Lee felt that he has not played as many games as he would have liked and with Adrian Forbes back he has gone further down the order.”

Jackett has only Adrian Forbes as a replacement striker tomorrow and it’ll be interesting to see whether he gets another one in when the transfer window opens in 3 months time.

Trialist Noe Sissoko is still deciding whether to sign a 3-month contract that Swansea had offered him.
”It is still up in the air at the moment whether he will sign or not,” Jackett said.

”There are still a few problems with him coming so we will just have to wait and see on that one.”
