The Swans have had a bid turned down for Swindon Town striker Rory Fallon.
It’s believed the bid was for around £300,000 – the amount Jenkins said they value Fallon at.
It was thought that Fallon was a backup option if we failed to bring Holt in with £400,000 available to spend on a striker.
‘Swansea have made a verbal offer, which we have turned down, ‘ Devlin told the Daily Press.
To get Holt it sounds as if we’ll need to spend the whole of our £400,000 as Rochdale boss Steve Parkin says it’ll take a ”substancial bid” to secure his services.
He added: ”While we are very flattered a successful club like Swansea have expressed an interest – so have several other clubs,” Parkin said last night.
”It would take a substantial bid from any of these clubs to take him away.”
The Evening Post has also mentioned that Palace striker Wayne Andrews is a target.
