Swansea City, Bristol City, Walsall and Swindon Town have all shown an interest in Chippenham Town striker, James Constable.

Boss, Darren Perrin said: ”I can confirm that Bristol City, Walsall, Swansea City and Swindon Town, have enquired about his availability, and that James will at some point be training with some or all of the clubs in the near future.”

”As a football club we will never stand between a player and the opportunity of league football, as this is the dream of most players. However, that move has to be right, for both the player (James) and Chippenham Town Football club.”

”I can also assure the supporters of this club that James will still be playing for Chippenham whilever we are in the FA Cup, and at least till January the first, as this is when the transfer window will open for league clubs. Even then, the deal must be right for James and the club.”

He added: ”from now onwards, Beano (Constable) will not be talking to the press or anyone about this subject and all such communication will be via myself and the club. The only people who will sell any of our players are the board of directors and myself.”

Chippenham Town are currently 2nd in the Southern Premier League. Bath City are also in the same league, Kenny Jackett watched their left winger, Andy Sandell play who is now currently on trial with the Swans.

Constable has scored 11 goals this season.
