Swansea City got back to winning ways this weekend with a 3-2 away win at Chesterfield.

There was a surprise in the Swansea squad however as striker Leon Knight was missing with no news beforehand to relate to his absence.

Jackett claims it as for ”football reasons” only for leaving him out, but with no other striker on the bench, surely that’s not true?

Leon Britton put us ahead after just 3 minutes and Trundle doubled our lead just before the break.

The hosts got themselves back into the game in the second half as Hall got a goal back just 2 minutes after the restart.

Trundle extended our lead again to two goals from the penalty spot as Leon Britton was tripped inside the area.

Hazell headed home to bring it back to 3-2 with 13 minutes to play but the Swans managed to hold out for all 3 points and go up to 8th in the table.

Kenny Jackett:
“We’ve got a result against somebody who’s got 31 points from 14 games and who’ve won all their seven home games without conceding a goal.

“And it was interesting for me because I made a lot of changes.

“We didn’t create a lot going forward but we worked hard, stuck to our task and defended well when needed.

“You want to keep building wins – it’s a great habit to have. We’ve gone twice on the road and won both games.”
