Swansea City showed great spirit to gain a point from today?s game at Prenton Park. They came back from behind twice as Robbo got a late equaliser 2 minutes from time.

The Swans stay top of the league, level on points with Huddersfield who beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 at home today.

Kenny Jackett named the same side that beat Yeovil 8 days ago and there was no starting place for Robinson, who scored 2 goals in the LDV win in midweek and was eager to play against his former side.

The home side started the brighter and were causing problems early on. Welsh International Roberts went close but luckily his shot rebounded to safety after hitting the bar. For the opening 20 minutes, Swans weren?t in the game and the hosts took a deserved lead with good play along the left wing, the ball was pulled back to Francis whose shot went in off the post.

Owain Tudur-Jones then got the sides level again a minute from the break when he headered home from Kevin McLeod?s cross. Tranmere were still on top at this stage and they went back in front a minute later. Facey gpt Tranmere?s second when he was put through for a one-on-one with Gueret after beating the offside trap, he made no mistake in front of goal.

Kristian O?Leary missed two chances on goal and failed to make an impact on the game and was replaced at the start of the second half by captain, Martinez. He was also joined in the dugout by McLeod who was replaced by Robinson.

We needed to get our passing game together and these changes enabled us to keep possession for longer periods.

Facey could have increased Tranmere?s lead but he missed what looked like a certain goal. After rounding keeper Gueret, he blasted the ball over the bar.

Robinson started creating problems for the opposition and maybe these two substitutes should have played from the start. Trundle was hardly involved in the first half but was becoming more of a threat in the second.

Halfway through the second half, Jackett used up his third and final substitute, replacing Britton with Adrian Forbes.

Swansea pushed for an equaliser in the later stages of the second half and it was Robinson who delivered the stinging blow two minutes from time. Akinfenwa?s shot was only parried by the keeper and Robbo was there to pounce on the rebound to tap in the late equaliser.
