It finally looks like Alan Tate will play some football this season, as he is expected to join Crewe Alexandra on loan.
Tate hasn’t been involved with the Swansea City squad throughout the Summer and was left out of their USA Summer Tour.
The 32 year-old hasn’t been involved in the first team for the last two years or more either after having loan spells at the likes of Aberdeen, Yeovil Town and Leeds United.
Crewe are currently rock bottom of League One, and manager Steve Davis is looking to add experience in defence after conceding 21 goals so far this season.
‘I’m looking to bring in another defender. There has been dialogue with the club and he is a player with experience who I feel would help us,’
‘He is a leader and a voice and has been there and done it.
‘Those players with experience is what we need at the moment and if I can bring in another two like that then I will.’
