Chaiman Huw Jenkins says they are looking at bringing in at least one or two new signings in this month’s transfer window.

Vital Swansea have also heard that Kenny Jackett is hopeful of bringing in someone before Saturday’s FA Cup game at Sheffield United.

The injuries and suspensions are starting to pile up as Trundle, Craney and Tate are all suspended while Pratley, Tudur-Jones, Way and MacDonald are all injured.

Andy Robinson is also a doubt for the big game and he’ll be given until Saturday to prove his fitness.

Jenkins said: ”We’ve got to admit we are a bit depleted with a number of injuries and one or two suspensions coming up,”

”And our attitude is that we’d like to strengthen our squad.

”We’re looking to get one or two in and hopefully something will happen over the next week.”

”Kenny watched a game on Tuesday night and he has a list of players he’s interested in.

”We’re watching as many games as possible at the moment and now we must wait to see if any of the players we’ve earmarked become available.”

Jenkins also ruled out a move for former target and Forest striker Grant Holt.

He added: ”We got Rory Fallon when Grant Holt went to Forest in the first place, and his name has not been mentioned recently.”

Swansea are also waiting to finalize Craney’s £150,000 permanant move from Accrington Stanley but Jenkins says ”It’s just a matter of finalising the paperwork on that one.”
