Swansea City are believed to have made an approach for the services of bright young talent Josh McEachran in a January loan deal.

It has been reported that 18-year old Josh McEachran could be playing for Swansea City when the January transfer window opens.

McEachran, a creative central midfielder for Chelsea, is understandably finding it difficult to get opportunities at Stamford bridge and a loan move away in January looks to be on the cards with the Liberty Stadium being the likely destination.

Josh McEachran has made 10 first-team appearances for Chelsea since his debut in 2010 and went on to win Chelsea’s young player of the year award.

Chelsea rate McEachran very highly with glowing references from Andres Villas-Boas:

‘This is a youngster with so much talent, Physique-wise, there is nothing to him at the moment.’

‘In the changing room you see him getting ready to go and train and he looks nothing like a footballer.’ ‘His power and pace is in his head.’ ‘But you could say the same about Luka Modric, Jack Wilshere or Samir Nasri. All are built with slight physiques but they are all among the finest midfield players in the world. Josh is going that way. His brain is always five yards ahead of the rest. I see in him very much as part of the future of this club.’

If this deal comes to fruition, then Swansea City will have an outstanding player to help them achieve their season objectives.

All parties are thought to be keen and hopeful on the prospect of the move.
