Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson has confirmed his interest in signing Ferrie Bodde on loan.

The Dutch midfielder is now looking to make it third time lucky in his attempts to recover from a knee ligament injury that has troubled him since 2008.

Brendan Rodgers has ruled out any first team involvement for Bodde this season as he is no rush to bring him back after two previous failed attempts to return.

The 28 year-old has featured in two Reserves games recently as he continues his recovery, but Rodgers may see it as a bit early for him to be involved in competitive League action.

Megson however is hopeful he can sign him on loan, saying:

“I tried to sign Ferrie quite a few years ago when I was at Bolton in the Premiership but he had bad luck with a cruciate problem and has been out for a long, long time,”

“He`s a really good player. It might suit Swansea, it would certainly suit Wednesday, and it might suit Ferrie. It`s early days yet but he is certainly somebody I would be interested in.”
