Record beating season ticket sales at the club are expected as club officials announce that sales to date have topped the 6000 mark.

Swansea City have set themselves an ambitious target for season ticket sales this summer and with only 4000 more sales needed to reach their 10,000 target, The Liberty Stadium could be set to be packed to the rafters for the clubs first season back in the second tier of British football in 24 years. To cope with the demand of ticket sales the club have granted an extension to existing season ticket holders to retain their seats, the new date for fans wishing to keep their existing places is the close of business (6pm) on the 16th June.

Predictions were made last month by officials that the record would be broken as they outlined on the first day of ticket sales.

Club Officials Told The SWEP:

“Our previous record for season-ticket holders was the 8,000 we had last year, but we’re expecting that to be broken. The queues started very early and, encouragingly, they were mostly supporters who were not season-ticket holders last year. To have a lot of new buyers is very pleasing.”
