Brendan Rodgers is set to have talks with Swansea City over a new long-term contract.

The Swans manager, who achieved promotion to the Premier League in his first season at the club, is currently on a rolling one-year contract but the board are now keen to secure on a longer deal.

Rodgers has recently said that he loves it at Swansea City and that there wouldn’t be a problem with putting pen to paper on a new contract.

Swansea fans will be delighted with the news that Rodgers is happy to stay and sign a new deal, considering how successful he’s been here in such a short space of time.

Jenkins confirmed:

“We will be sitting down with Brendan to look at sorting out a longer-term deal over the next few months.

“Brendan`s services are already secured as he is on a one-year rolling contract, but naturally we want to secure him in the long term.

“Brendan and I speak at least three times a week, maybe every day, and we have already talked through his thoughts and mine on extending his contract.

“Brendan likes working here. He is happy and he is settled, and we will look to get something sorted out.”
