Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew was frustrated that his side only picked up a point yesterday against Swansea City.

The Magpies dominated the opening 45 minutes which saw most of the play in Swansea City’s half of the pitch, but the visitors grew into the game after the break and began to create chances of their own.

Pardew said:

“It`s frustrating in so much that we played well.

“Swansea have eight clean sheets in the Premier League, they drop deep and defend deep.

“But they didn`t keep the ball as well as they have been because we wouldn`t let them.”

“They held on – we did everything but score.

“I have no complaints we just couldn`t get the goal we needed.

“I can`t fault my players.

“It`s frustrating, you don`t want to draw but you give credit to the opposition.

“We just couldn`t get the breakthrough.”

Swansea City kept their 8th clean-sheet of the season but they still wait for their first away victory.
