In a recent site poll, 65% of our readers voted Andrea Orlandi as their preferred choice for the left wing place.

Mark Gower, who is currently our regular on the left side of midfield, only received 26% of the vote while third option Tom Butler got the remaining 9%.

Gower has been a regular in our 5-man midfield and while he puts in some good performances, he is still struggling to get on the scoresheet since his Summer move from Southend United.

He’s spoken to the press on a few occasions now that he has added pressure because he is still yet to score his first goal for the Swans.

He’s not getting much luck at the moment and he must wonder what he has to do to score. It must also be frustrating for him when he sees Andrea Orlandi score in his first game back from injury, and Nathan Dyer scores against Portsmouth in his second game with us.

Orlandi has struggled to make a name for himself here really. He’s in his second season at the Liberty Stadium but on-going injury problems have prevented him from getting a good run in the first team.

Despite of this, the left winger has shone whenever he’s played and looks like being a good assett for us when he’s finally able to shake off the injuries for a lengthy period of time.

In our new poll, we want to know if you think it’s too early for us to get promotion to the Premiership.

Some people argue that promotion to the top flight could come too early for us if we achieved it this year. We might not be fully prepared while others think it wouldn’t make a different, Martinez being one of them.

Vote now on the right hand side of the site.
