The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Swansea City and Manchester United this Tuesday.

Swansea City host Manchester United on Tuesday October 24 for the League Cup fourth round tie at the Liberty Stadium and the match carries a 7.45pm kick off.

Referee: Robert Madley
Assistant Refs: Simon Bennett and Edward Smart
Fourth Official: Roger East

Match Day referee Madley has officiated seven games in 2017/18 showing 31 yellow cards and four red cards.

He took in 35 games in 2016/17 with a return of 146 yellow cards and four red cards.

That season his highest card count was eight yellows between Tottenham and Liverpool in August. He also showed seven yellows and one red in the match between Southend United and Scunthorpe United.

He took in 35 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 96 yellow cards and six red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Chelsea and West Ham in March with eight yellows being shown, prior to that Chelsea and Southampton in October saw seven yellows.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
