Bristol City got their revenge over the Swans with a 1-0 victory yesterday at Ashton Gate.

7 players got booked while Williams saw red in the closing minutes for a second bookable offence. The Robins scored their winner deep into first half injury time when defender Carrey scrambled the ball in from a yard out.

Nearly 1,500 travelling jacks made the short trip along the M4 for the game but they returned disappointed as Jackett?s side are still unable to end their poor run of form.

Jackett was forced into starting four centre backs as full backs Tate and Ricketts were out injured. Also missing from the starting line-up was Leon Britton, who was voted as our player of the season so far by just over half of our visitors. Forbes replaced out wide on the right while Williams replaced the injured McLeod on the opposite flank.

Steven Watt and Rory Fallon were handed debuts in defence and attack respectively which meant Leon Knight was unfortunate to be on the bench.

Watt ? Monk ? Iriekpen ? Austin

Forbes ? Martinez ? Robinson ? Williams

Fallon ? Trundle

Lee Trundle?s goal drought and poor form continued but Fallon battled well in defence as well as attack and finally we have a player who can win attacking headers.

It was a total reflection of our first encounter in September. We romped to a 7-1 victory that day but the only thing we won comfortably was the number of bookings that we were given. 7 players were booked which means the FAW will be handing out a £2,500 fine. It?s a fraction of the money we?ve been spending recently but a fine?s a fine and 7 bookings in one game is simply embarrassing and totally unacceptable. Our indiscipline was a problem earlier in the season and it looked as if we got rid of the problem. Obviously we hadn?t and Williams? red was inevitable after a few clashes with both sets of players in the first half.

A report I don?t want to consist fully of explaining our bookings but there was nothing to shout about in the first half hour. 10 minutes from the break and we got our first shot on target. Trundle turned well but their keeper easily dealt with his weak shot.

Watt had a solid debut with the only real downside of his performance being his rash challenge on Bas Savage, which got him booked. Martinez also got booked for protesting against some of the referee?s awful decisions.

In the final minute of first half injury time, defender Carey got their all-important goal that gave them all three points. He latched onto the end of Russell?s long free kick and bundled the ball in from a yard out.

In the second half, Izzy Iriekpen was lucky to get away with just a yellow card after a two-footed challenge on Woodman.

Jackett then made a double substitution just after the hour mark as Darren Way came on for Martinez and Britton replaced Watt. It didn?t take Way long to get a shot at goal and he forced the keeper into making a good save. Trundle?s rebound was also saved. Austin then had a chance to score the equaliser but his free header was straight to the keeper from the resulting corner.

Leon Knight also came on to replace Forbes but Bristol?s defence stood firm and they should have killed the game off but Murray?s shot from inside the penalty area struck the bar.

7 minutes from time and Williams saw red after a foul on Bas Savage as things go from bad to worse for the Swans. Another suspension, another defeat and we drop another place in the league to fourth as Huddersfield made a great comeback at home to Oldham. Swansea have the chance next week to put things right with home games against Gillingham on Tuesday, and against Bournemouth on Friday.
