Paulo Sousa was left frustrated with his side’s missed chances in tonight’s 0-0 draw away at Doncaster Rovers.

Swansea City could and should have had the game wrapped up by half time after a good performance where we created some clear-cut chances on goal.

Sousa said:

“There is a big frustration, not just for me but for all the players.

“I am very proud of the work the lads put in. In the first half we got our strategy right and we had a minimum of four clear opportunities to score.

“Games like this, and the recent game at Barnsley, have to be won as games like this can put us in a completely different position in the table.”

“It is not only about Gorka, the most important thing for me is to see a minimum of three or four players in the box attacking the areas we need to attack,”

“I don’t just want strikers to score, I want wingers, midfielder and defenders to score too. I am happy with what happened tonight but I am frustrated because we deserved two more points and we didn’t get them.”

Swansea City were boosted with the returns of Stephen Dobbie and Darren Pratley from injury as both came off the substitutes bench in the second half.

We now look forward to Saturday’s home game as we face Paulo Sousa’s former club, QPR.
