Swansea City drew their 6th game of the season away at Doncaster Rovers last night but we should have picked up all three points after missing some excellent chances.
Paulo Sousa was lacking first team options and had 9 players unavailable for the game so the Swansea manager was forced into making more changes to his starting eleven.
Fede Bessone picked up an injury during Saturday’s game at home to Sheffield United and he was replaced by Marcos Painter as Ashley Williams again lined up in midfield.
Sousa changed to a 4-4-2 formation as he struggled for midfielders. Jordi Lopez and Nathan Dyer both served one-match bans after picking up two bookings each on the weekend. Leon Britton and Cedric Van Der Gun were still out injured which meant Jazz Richards and Craig Beattie started. Butler replaced Dyer on the right flank. We were boosted with the returns of Darren Pratley and Stephen Dobbie who both came off the substitutes bench in the second half.

Swansea City enjoyed the better play in the opening 45 minutes and we really should have been a goal or two in front at the break. Gorka Pintado and Craig Beattie had chances to break the deadlock while Tom Butler saw his header hit the bar.
Beattie had the best chances. He headed over from Gower’s cross and following good work from strike partner Pintado, he shot straight at goalkeeper Neil Sullivan.
Doncaster flew out the blocks at the start of the second half though, and they could have been in front within seconds but a shot went just wide.
The second half never met the quality of the first and as the game went on the scoreline never looked like changing in front of a quiet 8,833 crowd at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The home side were booed off after a disappointing performance while the Swans were left frustrated that they didn’t win their second game in 4 days.
