Roberto Martinez has been linked with another vacant manager’s role in the Premiership, but again us fans can be rest assured that the Spaniard is going nowhere.
Martinez is one of the few rare cases of loyalty left in the game. He said when he was first appointed that he’ll only leave the club if he was forced to. He’s likely to have a long future here in South Wales as his dream is to take us back to the top flight of English football.
Portsmouth have just sacked Tony Adams and there’s also a vacant role at Chelsea, as they got rid of Phil Scolari this week.
With two managers leaving in the space of a few days, of course speculation has arisen, linking Martinez with a move to Portsmouth.
However, Martinez simply says being linked with moves to these clubs is a big compliment to him, and nothing else:

Roberto’s remarkable and quick success here as manager could have been a threat to his future here but the 35 year-old is committed to staying here for the duration and I don’t think we have any worry that’ll be moving on anytime soon.
While other managers quickly move on when they see big pound signs of a bigger and better paid job elsewhere, we’re grateful of who we have here – our best manager since John Toshack – someone who is capable of repeating what Toshack achieved in the early 1980’s.
