New Swansea City manager Bob Bradley seems to be impressing all the right people early on in his tenure at the club – as Lee Trundle revealed in his newspaper column that some of the players have been impressed in his first training sessions.

Club legend Alan Curtis has been impressed too, as well as skipper Leon Britton so the American is making an impact already, having only arrived in Swansea earlier this week – taking his first training session on Wednesday.

In his Evening Post column here, Trundle says that he has spoken to a few of the players who have been impressed.

When you’re in that situation and you’re stuck without a manager, you’re treading water. I’m not saying I was advocating Bob Bradley for the job from the start, because to tell the truth, I wasn’t. He isn’t a well-known face and he hasn’t worked in the Premier League but I urge fans to give him a chance.

And from what some of the lads have told me, Bob has come in for a couple of training sessions and really impressed. The players think he’s a strong, authoritative character and that is vital.

A new manager always gives the club a lift and it’s a fantastic feeling as a player because, suddenly, everyone is back on a level playing field. Everyone is striving to impress the new manager, because ? no matter who he is ? he’s the one picking the team and if you don’t perform, he’s the one who’ll tell you.

Trundle is now hoping that Bradley can restore the ‘Swansea way’ of playing attractive football, and being more risky:

I’d like to see Bradley rediscover ‘The Swansea Way’. It doesn’t matter whether he’s here for the short term or the long term, he has a chance to bring back attacking, free-flowing football to the Liberty Stadium.

The fans want to see players take a risk, beat a man, play on the front foot. If Bob can do that ? and maybe get Barrow and Montero back in the side ? he’ll quickly win the fans over.

Swansea have always been able to hurt teams, they’ve always been a threat, ever since that first season since being promoted. I’m staying positive and I believe the attacking football, as well as the results, can come back to the Liberty.

I think the first thing Bradley needs to do is instill some form of attacking balance back into the team
