The young Swans midfielder comes to Dean Saunders’ Dragons for one month.

Allen, who is the regular member of the Wales U-21 setup, has a difficult position in the current Swans first-team due to a massive competition in the midfield department. Therefore the short-term loan spell at Wrexham will allow him to get a valuable game-time under his belt.

Allen told the BBC:

“I’m looking forward to it. It will be good to get some more game time under my belt. I obviously know Dean Saunders from the Welsh set up. He’s got the same philosophy as (Swans boss) Roberto Martinez in that he wants to play football the right way.

He’s got a good reputation in the game and has the utmost respect from the senior boys in the Welsh squad. He’s also got a wealth of experience which hopefully I can tap into during my time at the Racecourse.’

Allen is expected to feature for the Wales U-21 for the first-leg of their Uefa Championship play-off clash with England on Friday.
