Kenny Jackett is aiming to get to the 3rd Round of the FA Cup this season.

Swansea travel to Stockport County on Saturday for their FA Cup opener and the Swansea manager is determined that his side can progress through the 3 rounds like they did last year.

”If you’re a lower-division manager, you’ve done your job if you get through to the third round of the FA Cup,” he said.

”We managed that last year, getting a couple of replays and a Sky game along the way, which all helped financially.

”The competition was good to us and we hope for something similar this time round.

”The aim is to get to the third round and hope to get a big tie. Once you reach that stage you look at each game individually and see how far you can get.”

Kenny also said earlier this week that he won’t be resting his first team players and will be naming a strong side. There were no fresh injury worries following the Chesterfield game and Jackett could well have a full squad available providing Monk recovers from a calf injury.
