Lee Trundle’s injury isn’t as bad as first thought and he could be back before the end of January.

”We’ve reviewed Lee again and it’s not as bad as we first thought,” said Swansea physio Richie Evans.

”We think he has damaged only the main ankle ligament so he should be back playing within three or four weeks.”

Izzy Iriekpen was the latest player to suffer an injury after limping off during the stalemate with Port Vale on Monday. The centre back could be fit for the visit of MK Dons next Tuesday.

Jenkins has also indicated that Jackett could be looking at the loan market to temporarily replace injured midfield duo O’Leary and Tudur-Jones.
