Pablo Hernandez and three other fellow Spaniards could leave Swansea City this Summer having not travelled with the rest of the squad on the club’s pre season tour in USA.

Almost two months ago we reported here that Pozuelo and Canas wasn’t in Garry Monk’s squad plans after barely kicking a ball since he became Michael Laudrup’s successor in February 2014.

There were rumours that both instigated the training ground ‘fight’ that was confirmed by the club earlier this year, not long after Chico Flores brandished a brick during another training session.

Monk looks like he has moved on and patched things up with Chico, but Pozuelo and Canas look set to leave after being left out of the pre-season tour – as the players are being put through some tough and vigorous training and fitness sessions before next week’s practise games.

Michu is also certain to depart and has been strongly linked with a move to Napoli by the Italian press.

Pablo Hernandez’s likely departure is a surprising one though – having played some of his best football for the club under new boss Garry Monk – but local reports suggest that he wants a move back to Spain to be closer to his daughter.

If all four players were to leave then it would leave a big hole in midfield – with 3 of the four players being attacking midfielders. Monk has been linked with wingers Jefferson Montero of Ecuador and Muhamed Besic of Bosnia, while attacking midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has also been linked with a return to the Swans – but he doesn’t appear to be interested in a move back to South Wales.

Monk has said this week that he could still bring in two or three new players this Summer, but confirms that some players will have to leabe to be able to do so.
