Gomis Wants Out? Media All Over It Like A Rash

Sources in France suggest that Bafetimbi Gomis wants out, and the UK media are all over the story like a rash…

The St Etienne president has also been quoted as saying that Gomis will return to the French club…one day, but put that together and the national press over here and they have a field day.

And it’s not just the national press either unfortunately as both the Evening Post and Wales Online are publishing similar stories that Gomis wants out – simply based on reports in France.

The press love the transfer window, they can report all sorts of stories and get away with it despite hundreds of transfer speculation reports being nothing more than pub gossip.

Apparently, there’s a decent queue of Premier League sides willing to sign Gomis who is apparently unhappy in South Wales. Of course, a striker unproven yet in the Premier League will interest the likes of Aston Villa, West Ham and Crystal Palace at £7m-plus – not to mention his excessive wage demands.

And then there’s the speculation about Wilfried Bony yet again.

£60m bids, Real Madrid interest….!? The stories get better every day.

All we know is that the club will do what’s best for the club, and will only ever accept a bid that’ll be too good to turn down. Bony, being the top scorer in 2014, shouldn’t be sold for anything less than £30m, while Gomis is unlikely to be a serious target for a fellow Premier League side I shouldn’t think.
