Stephen Dobbie says he’s looking forward to a fresh start at Swansea City, and aims to score goals at the club.

The striker hardly played a game under former boss Paulo Sousa last season and was loaned out to Blackpool, where he netted 5 goals in 6 starts to help the Seasiders win promotion to the Premier League.

Despite speculation of him joining Blackpool permanently this Summer, the Scot says it’s now time to start scoring goals for the Swans, after proving his quality last season at Bloomfield Road.

Dobbie told the Official Site:

It’s like a new start for me, But with a new manager (Brendan Rodgers) in place, it’s a new start for everyone.

The fans saw me score a few goals for Blackpool last season and it’s time to do the same for Swansea.

‘The manager has been fantastic with me since he arrived and his enthusiasm has rubbed off on everyone.

‘It’s important to get off to a good start and I’m just concentrating on scoring goals for Swansea.

‘I’ve got no doubt in my ability to score goals in the Championship and, like the rest of the squad, I can’t wait to get started.

‘Hull is a tough place to start after they came down from the Premier League. But we will go there full of confidence.”
