Swansea City head coach Carlos Carvalhal says he will look into appealing Leroy Fer’s red card during the 0-0 draw at Wolves in the FA Cup third round.

Referee Anthony Taylor showed his second red card of the game as he gave Fer his marching orders after 67 minutes when he kicked the heels of Costa as he began to run through the middle just inside our half.

It seemed a harsh red to say the very least, you can be the judge on it below, but while Wolves boss Nuno agreed with both red cards, Carvalhal disagreed with the Fer decision – and so did the BT Sport pundits:

On the red cards, Carvalhal said:

“I didn`t see their red card. My staff say it`s a clear red but I didn`t see it so I cannot give my opinion,”

“Our red card is a classic yellow card. It`s a ball in the midfield, it`s not a dangerous situation near the goal.

“It`s a foul from the back, but it is not a kick. There is no aggression, it`s a normal yellow card.

“I think we can appeal red cards. We will analyse the details and it`s possible we will appeal.”
