Wolves boss Nuno said his team were the better side this afternoon as they had to settle for an FA Cup 3rd round replay at Swansea City following a goalless draw at Molineux Stadium.

He also said in the post-match press conference that he agreed with both red cards, as Vinagre was shown a straight red just before half time after an awful foul on Nathan Dyer, before Leroy Fer was shown red during the second half for clipping the heels of Helder Costa.

Swansea boss Carlos Carvalhal adopted a 3-5-2 formation like he did in the 2-0 home defeat against Spurs, and rested Fabianski and Mawson, bringing in Nordfeldt and Bartley. In Naughton and Rangel’s absence, under-23s right back Connor Roberts was given an opportunity to earn himself a Premier League chance.

In midfield, Leroy Fer returned – for just over an hour, and Wilfried Bony started in place of Oli McBurnie.

Wolves created the better chances and should have taken the lead during the first half, while the Swans failed to make use of their one-man advantage early in the second half prior to Fer’s sending off.

Nuno said:

“I agree with both situations, both red cards,”

“I`m happy and pleased with the performance, really happy,”

“Individually and as a team, we were the better team on the pitch.

“I think we deserved to win. We create many chances and played some good football. With one man less we keep the shape, we keep things flowing, and we were the better team. The last touch, too bad, but that will come. Creating is more important in this moment.”
