Akinfenwa Set For 3 Weeks Out

Striker Adebayo Akinfenwa is set to spend 3 weeks on the sidelines after suffering from a stress fracture in his left shin.

Bayo should be back in contention for the home game against Bournemouth on November 3rd.

Physio Richard Evans said the reason for the injury was his upper body strength applying too much pressure to the lower.

He said: ”It went pretty well. The worse case scenario was up to eight weeks, so a two to three weeks spell out is not that bad.

”We will go through the same process with Bayo as we did last season. That went well, so hopefully we will get the same results.”
