Swansea City fans seem very pleased with Wayne Routledge’s signing this week, with 86% voting that he’s a ‘good signing’.

The 26 year-old completed his move from Newcastle United a few days ago and he looks set to feature in today’s home friendly against Real Betis (3pm).

Swansea City fought off strong interest from Championship clubs Nottingham Forest and Leicester City, with the Foxes favourites to land the winger due to the attractive wages they could offer.

Routledge spent last season on loan at QPR – helping them win the Championship title but despite Neil Warnock’s claims that he wanted a move back to Loftus Road, a completed a switch to the Liberty Stadium for an undisclosed fee – thought to be worth around £2m.

Routledge was joined this week by fellow new signing Leroy Lita, who both played together for England at under-21 level.

In comparison with Routledge, Lita only picked up 53% of the vote that he’d be a ‘good signing’.

10% voted that the former Newcastle midfielder will be a good back-up, with only 4% thinking that he’s not good enough.

Is he good enough to challenge Scott Sinclair and Nathan Dyer for a regular place on the wing, as will he have to adapt to a more central position to get more games at Swansea City?
