Swansea City Defender Steven Watt has signed a 1 Year Contract extension with the club.

Watt signed a new deal that will keep him at the Liberty Stadium for until the end of next season. He has become the second out of contract player to sign a new deal after Kevin Austin signed a new contract with the club last week.

Swans Defender Steven watt on signing the new deal in the south wales evening post:

”I feel privileged to have been offered a new contract – I didn’t expect it….I just want to get my head down next season and try to get myself into the team…

‘I’ve got another chance now and I’m determined to get back to full fitness and show the fans what I can do.’

Watt has not played a competitive game since the FAW Premier cup tie against Port Talbot on the 15th January.

This leaves Garry Monk, Izzy Iriekpen, Bayo Akinfenwa and Kristian O Leary the only out of contract players not to accept new deals.
