Young promising midfielder, Owain Tudur-Jones showed his delight today after signing a new 2 year contract that will keep at the club until the end of the 2007/2008 season.

Kenny Jackett signed the 21 year old for just £5,000 from Welsh League side Bangor Town. Owain produced an excellent performance last weekend and scored Swansea’s fourth goal late in the first half.

”When I signed a 12-month contract over the summer, I never dreamt Swansea would want to sign me for another two years so soon,” said Tudur Jones.

”I’m absolutely delighted and still can’t quite believe it. But while it’s nice to know my future is secured for a bit longer, I know I’ve still got a lot of work to do and a lot to learn.

‘I will still be putting in exactly the same effort on the training ground and out on the pitch.

”Hopefully my football will continue to improve and I can repay the faith the gaffer and the club has put in me.”
