Reports have emerged today suggesting that Swansea City are set to unveil our first signing since the arrival of new Paulo Sousa, while the transfer saga involving Ferrie Bodde continues.

The Evening Post believe that the Swans are ready to unveil Jordi Lopez as our new signing, but there are completely different stories on where Ferrie Bodde’s future lies.

Some sources are saying there’s been no developments because Bolton have yet to meet our valuation of the player, while others say the Dutch midfielder is close to joining the Reebok Stadium club.

Who knows what exactly is going on regarding Bodde and a possible move to Bolton, but it’s becoming increasingly likely that he’s certain to leave Swansea City in this transfer window or the next.

Gary Megson says he is very close to completing the signings of 3 players, and one of them could well be Bodde.

“We are really close to getting three transfers sorted, and we need them, because this squad is nowhere near strong enough,”

“Phil Gartside (Bolton chairman) has got a list of players who I feel would strengthen us, and there are also the names of players who we would allow to leave the club, but we have got to get a lot busier if that is to happen.”
the Bolton boss said.

Lopez could be lined up as Ferrie’s replacement, a defensive midfielder who’s particularly good at passing and set pieces.

The Spaniard has already held talks with Paulo Sousa and Huw Jenkins and a move is expected if he’s happy with what contract we offer him.
