Lee Thorpe joined League 2 side, Peterborough United on a month’s loan at the beginning of this month and was involved in 3 of the 4 goals they scored against Macclesfield Town last Saturday.

The striker has found it difficult to break into the first team at Swansea and was sent out on loan for first team football, although saying beforehand he wanted to stay and fight for a place.

He seems to have settled in quickly and after the game, he praised the squad: ”I am delighted for the boys to get such a convincing win. I have come here from Swansea and the way things have been going there, I arrived with a habit of winning games because they are flying. It was just nice to win a game again and all of the lads contributed.”

No news yet on whether or not the loan will be extended until the transfer window opens again in January which could then lead to a permanent move. The former Bristol Rovers frontman has become a scapegoat with the Swans and hasn’t shown the quality to cope with League One.
