Swansea City have tonight confirmed the sacking of manager Bob Bradley after just 11 matches in charge.

In those 11 matches, the American managed just 2 wins and 7 defeats, as well seeing his side concede a ridiculous 29 goals. A manager who arrived from the French second division, should never have got the job in the first place, and considering the decision to appoint him, you wonder who they’ll bring in to replace him having made such a woeful mistake in the first place.

As we pointed out here, the 4-1 home defeat against West Ham United really was more than enough evidence to suggest that he simply had to be sacked – as he proved to be tactically inept with some clueless decisions.

Chairman Huw Jenkins, who received his fair share of criticism during the Boxing Day defeat from the fans, said:

‘Unfortunately things haven`t worked out as planned and we felt we had to make the change with half the Premier League season remaining.

“With the club going through such a tough time, we have to try and find the answers to get ourselves out of trouble.

“Personally, I have nothing but praise for Bob. He is a good man; a good person who gave everything to the job. His work-rate is phenomenal and we wish him well for the future.“

The club have confirmed that while a replacement is found, first team coaches Alan Curtis and Paul Williams will take temporary charge – and will prepare the squad for another home game on New Year’s Eve – against AFC Bournemouth.

Bob Bradley was the first Swansea City manager in a number of years to receive Manager out chants during the game – which tells its own story as to how bad his short spell at the club has been.
