Paulo Sousa was obviously delighted to see his side bounce back from Saturday’s defeat at Nottingham Forest with a 1-0 win against Watford last night.

Shefki Kuqi got the vital goal of the game in the first half, heading home Craig Beattie’s cross and the Swans held on for an important 3 points.

Sousa told the Official Site that last night’s match was going to be difficult for his side mentally after losing on the weekend, but he was pleased with their reaction:

‘We have no time to look at the table,’

‘Everyone keeps saying we can go up because we keep picking up results. The players believe as well, but in football many things can happen.

‘We need to keep it up for the rest of the season now. We must continue to make the right decisions, remain focused and difficult to beat.

‘After the Forest defeat on Saturday, mentally it was always going to be very difficult for us against Watford. But we picked ourselves up and came away with a good result.

‘We defended as a team and our organisation and positioning was excellent. As players they are becoming better every day.

‘We are looking to win every game and we will see where we end up at the end of the season.”
