Paulo Sousa has heaped praise on Lee Trundle after he scored Tuesday’s winning goal to give us a 1-0 win at home to Plymouth Argyle.

The scouser came off the bench to score a brace on Saturday at Peterborough United as we drew 2-2 and he followed that up with a goal on Tuesday to give us 3 points.

Lee Trundle is currently on loan at the club until December 31st and he’s looking to impress boss Paulo Sousa to persuade him to keep him at the Liberty Stadium.

The 33 year-old has been doing a fine job of that so far and is currently our top scorer with 5 League goals.

Sousa told BBC Sport:

‘Lee is a special person,’

‘He has a lot of impact with our fans, our players and our squad.’

‘He has the characteristics that are different to the other strikers we have in our squad,’ said the Swans boss.

‘For that we have brought him in to help us and to give him the chance to show his characteristics on the pitch.

‘He is also training very hard to fight for his positions to play games an score goals and I am delighted with him.

‘He has given us a good reference by his performances this week and in training and he has very good characteristics that can help us a lot in the future. Lee is a big professional.’
