Paulo Sousa remains upbeat about our chances of finishing in the play-offs despite suffering a big blow today after losing 2-0 at Sheffield United and falling out of the top 6.

Blackpool replace us in the play-offs after they won at Peterborough United and Swansea City need a favour from Bristol City next Sunday if we are to get back into 6th place.

Sousa’s dominated the majority of today’s game at Bramall Lane but it was the same old story for us, not taking our chances and paying the price.

“Things can change and turn and we have to believe and we have to do our job properly,”

“We are depending on others, but we need to have pride in ourselves and keep our heads high because the way we have played this season is good.

“What we expect is my players to keep training with the same enthusiasm and to perform like we did today because it is easy to win games like that.”

“The referee did something we are used to. It has been like that all season,”

“We have not had anything given all season so I don`t expect the referee to give us it today.

“But the way we came here and performed like we did was outstanding. Their keeper was also outstanding and was man of the match.”
