We look at various predictions for Saturday’s game at Villa Park, as Aston Villa host Swansea City.
Both sets of fans seem upbeat and confident about their respected team’s chances of a good result this weekend.
Despite Villa’s lack of a win in the opening three games of the season, their supporters seem confident it will happen on Saturday, following an encouraging performance at Newcastle United – in which they drew 1-1 – their first point on the board.
Not only do they expect a win, but a win in the style that their opponents have experienced in recent weeks, possible a clear 3-0 or 3-1 victory.
Looking at their current poll, asking for their result prediction, the results currently say that two-thirds – 66% predict a Villa win, with 17% expecting a draw and defeat respectively.
Swansea City fans seem even more confident that their side will remain unbeaten. 72% have voted for a win, with 17% predicting a second-successive draw, with the remaining 11% expecting our first defeat of the season.
Looking at the Vital Swansea Prediction League (here) Out of a total of 27 predictions, a 2-1 win to the Swans is the most common score prediction, following by 5 predictions for a 2-0 away win. There are only 5 predictions in favour of a Villa victory.
Incidentally, not that his opinion or predictions matter much, BBC pundit and general irritant Mark Lawrenson has predicted a 1-1 draw.
