Darren Pratley and Roberto Martinez has praised striker Jason Scotland after his two goals earned Swansea their first win since November 10th.

An emphatic first half penalty and a simple finish in the second half gave the Swans the three points that took them up to tenth in the Championship table.

And Pratley told the Evening Post that Scotland is starting to get the rewards his efforts have deserved.

‘At the start of the season the fans were on his back a little bit, but he’s been different class.’

‘The midfielders have scored a lot of goals, but it’s all been down to his hard work.’

‘He can go on to score 20 goals, or even 25.’

Martinez echoed his impressive midfielder’s words when he spoke to BBC Sport:

‘Jason is a magic player. When he is on top of his game he is someone who people will pay to watch him.’

‘It’s great to see him enjoy his football because that means goals and goals win games.’

If Scotland can continue his recent scoring form the Swans could make an assault on the play-offs after a succession of impressive, but rather fruitless performances.
