Manchester United midfielder Ji-sung Park says he’s looking forward to playing against Swansea City for the first time today.

Like his fellow midfield team-mate Darren Fletcher, Park is also expecting an exciting atmosphere at the Liberty Stadium.

One thing that you can guarantee in today’s game will be an electric atmosphere. It has vastly improved in the last year or so thanks to the introduction of the drum in the East Stand. The noise levels increased and it played a big part in our play-off winning campaign – as we beat Reading 4-2 in front of almost 90,000 fans at Wembley.

With some people saying that today’s game – hosting the title holders Manchester United – is the biggest in the club’s history – you just know it’s going to be a massive occasion – and the atmosphere I’m sure will be superb from start to finish.

Park said:

“A home crowd, with its passion and aggression, can affect the game but we have experience of dealing with crowds and we know we can deal with it,”

“Mentally you have to be strong, particularly in away games at the places where the fans are very passionate. But we know how to quieten the fans so we`ll try our best in the early part of the game to do that. We have to show our ability for that. Then we can get a result.”

“It will be the first time I`ve played against Swansea and I`m also looking forward to it because we don`t usually play in Wales,”

“Swansea have played very well recently and they`re not afraid to play football against the big teams, like Liverpool away for example. So I think it will be a great game.

“Their draw against Liverpool tells us this could be a big challenge for us, as Anfield is a difficult place to play and they`re playing us at home so they will naturally have more confidence. It will be a tough game for us but hopefully we can get a good result because we need the three points.”

After another international break, Manchester United will be looking for three points to try and close the gap on their arch rivals Manchester City, while the Swans aim to maintain their unbeaten record at home this season.
