‘Nobody’ won the Vital Swansea man of the match vs Liverpool with 60% of the votes – which sums up just how woeful the performance was at Anfield on Boxing Day evening.

The Swans, led a second time by caretaker manager Leon Britton, were only a goal down at half time as Jordan Ayew gave away possession in his own half to give Coutinho an opportunity to show his quality from outside the box. But like we have done in so many games this season, the heads dropped and the floodgates opened.

It could have easily been more, but Liverpool settled for five, as more so than ever was it so clear that the Swans had to bring in a manager before the next game.

When you thought performances couldn’t possibly get any worse, they did, as they reached an even lower level. Confidence is as low as it can possibly be, but the players even less interested than before. The basics weren’t being done right before, but this was happening almost every time we had the ball at Anfield. Ayew was helpful in increasing the scoreline for the hosts, while McBurnie was unfairly given a tough job in a lone striker role, without any support whatsoever.

Goalkeeper Lucasz Fabianski came second in the poll with 27%, with Routledge and McBurnie in equal third place with 4%.

Man of the Match Poll Leaderboard:

Lucasz Fabianski – 7
Roque Mesa – 4
Wilfried Bony – 2
Federico Fernandez – 2
Nobody – 1
Ki Sung Yueng – 1
Tammy Abraham – 1
Martin Olsson – 1
Sam Clucas – 1
