Paulo Sousa has more injury problems to deal with as 7 players are currently struggling for match fitness.
Swansea City will assess the extent of Ferrie Bodde’s latest knee problem after he lasted just 8 minutes of yesterday’s home win against Sheffield United.
He made his long-awaited return to first team action after spending 10 months on the sidelines. The official site reported today that he felt something ‘click’ and we should hear more news tomorrow on how long he’ll spend on the sidelines.
Prior to yesterday’s match, Sousa was forced to make more changes to his starting line-up as Marcos Painter, Leon Britton, Joe Allen, Andrea Orlandi and Cedric Van Der Gun were all missing with injuries. We’re struggling for midfielders once again for our trip to Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday evening. Hopefully some of them will return for that game.
Fede Bessone also picked up a groin strain yesterday and it’s unknown yet if any of these players will make a quick return.
