Greek international defender Vangelis Moras has agreed terms to join Swansea City.

Moras has recently been on trial at the club and impressed enough during Wednesday’s Reserve defeat against Newcastle United to earn himself a contract offer with the Swans.

The 30 year-old has 15 caps for Greece, and made 104 appearances for Italian top tier side Bologna before he was released this Summer.

The Evening Post now say that it’s just a case of processing the paper work before Moras is confirmed as an official Swansea City player.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has been eager to strengthen his defensive options following injuries to Steven Caulker and Alan Tate.

Moras is able to sign outside of the transfer window as he is a free agent.
