Swansea City have been a dealt a big injury blow as they have learnt today that striker Bafetimbi Gomis will be out for four weeks with a hamstring injury.
The Frenchman suffered the injury when firing a shot at goal during last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home against Everton. He was forced off the pitch after just 17 minutes into the game as his side battled on to earn a point.
With Neil Taylor also suspended for two games, manager Garry Monk has some tweaking to do to his starting eleven – which has rarely seen many changes in recent weeks.
The injury means that the striker could miss 4 games, Leicester City on Saturday, Newcastle United and Stoke City and possibly Arsenal in early March.
The Swans will be hoping that Nelson Oliveira is available again after missing Saturday’s match.
