Vokes forces the keeper into a fantastic save, heading Bale’s cross. He follows that up by giving us the lead at last, scrambling the ball in from close range. Koumas misses a penalty after 65 minutes, and does no better with the rebound. Toshack’s side go close again as Koumas’s 25 yard curling shot is palmed around the post for another corner. Wales begin to put pressure on the visitors’ goal by 2 decent chances. The last saw a long free kick parried by the keeper and the defence clear for a corner. Arzerbaijan have a decent chance from a corner after 11 minutes. A low cross comes in which is dummeyed, but the follow up shot is blasted over the bar.
