Swansea City are represented in the latest League Cup team of the round that has been selected after the round two action last midweek.

The performance by Leroy Fer in the four one victory over MK Dons last midweek was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the League Cup competition.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Fer was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the EFL.com blurb read.

‘Another man behind a turnaround was Fer, who made sure Swansea weren’t behind for long against Milton Keynes Dons. The Dutchman restored parity just two minutes after the Swans conceded, and he added another as his side went on to ease to a 4-1 win.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Fer for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
