This season?s FA Cup began today and as we know every season, it certainly produced an upset here and there, and unfortunately the Swans were involved in one.

Paul Hayes also scored the only goal in the game between Barnsley and Darlington as another League 1 club progressed to the 2nd round.

The first upset to tell you about was AFC Bournemouth who were embarrassed on home soil at the hands of non-league side Tamworth. Ward put them ahead after half an hour before Stock grabbed an equaliser. 9 minutes from the end though, Storer scored the rebound from a missed penalty to produce a huge upset.

Gary Johnson?s Bristol City faced an early exit after a 2-0 home defeat against League 2 side, Notts County as Tann and Baudet scored the goals to put them through.

Another League 1 side suffered an early upset in the cup. Gillingham conceded a goal against Unibond Premier side Burscough after just 10 minutes but they managed to fight back in the 2nd half. Jarvis and Saunders scored to put Gillingham ahead but 2 goals in the last 2 minutes produced a big upset. Cox put the ball in his own net before Rowan grabbed a surprising winner for the non-league side.

Scunthorpe could only manage a 2-2 draw at Bury so they?ll go back to Glanford Park for the replay.

Colchester equalled their record victory but it did take 39 minutes to open the scoring. Greg Halford scored from a free-kick before 8 more goals gave them a huge victory over Leamington, who beat Ossett Town 3-2 in the final qualifying round.

Hartlepool also had to fight back to avoid a shock after going behind. Kandol put Dagenham & Redbridge ahead after 32 minutes but ?Pool equalised 2 minutes later. 7 minutes from the end Butler grabbed the winner to put them through.

MK Dons failed to overcome Lincoln at Sincil Bank after a 1-1 draw. The home side took the lead after 29 minutes when Robinson scored with a diving header. Edds then grabbed an equaliser late in the first half after his long-range shot took a deflection.

Nottingham Forest could only manage a draw at home to Weymouth as Harris cancelled out Holt?s 39-minute opener.

Port Vale beat Wrexham 2-1 last night to go through as debutant Constantine got the winner 2 minutes after Wrexham grabbed an equaliser. The striker joined Vale from Torquay on loan and will complete the £20,000 move when the transfer window opens in January.

Swansea City full back, Andy Gurney, on loan with League One strugglers Swindon scored in their FA Cup tie against Boston. He scored their first equaliser after 32 minutes before Comyn-Platt kept them in the Cup with a second equaliser 3 minutes from time.

Walsall took a 2-0 lead against Merthyr who came through the qualifying rounds. The Welsh side fought back with a goal after half an hour but they were unable to get another in the next hour to force a replay.

Phil Jevons got a late equaliser for Yeovil at Macclesfield as they take the League 2 side to Huish Park for the replay.

Swansea transfer target George Boyd scored for Stevenage as they were 3-1 winners against Kettering.

Swansea produced a poor performance in their match with Stockport as they lost 2-0 at Edgeley Park. A strong side were unable to overcome the struggling League Two side as they fall at the first hurdle, despite Jackett hoping to get to the
Third round to draw a ?big? club.
