David Cotterill said that we should have done better with the chances we created during Saturday’s goalless draw at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

Swansea City missed the chance to pick up another 3 points, which you could say were there for the taking against a defensive side who were very happy to get a point from the game.

The young Welsh international complimented the defence and goalkeeper after keeping our 21st clean sheet of the season, but he says we should have done better with the chances we created, especially in the final 20 minutes or so of the game.

“Credit to Dorus in goal and the defence because they kept another clean sheet and that`s important.

“Sheffield Wednesday did not trouble them, they look very comfortable.

“As attackers, we should have carved out a few more chances and, the ones we had, we should have done better.

“We had three or four chances where we could have done better, but it was just one of those days where it was all frustrating. Hopefully we can put it right on Tuesday night against West Brom.”

Cotterill returned from injury after missing the 2 previous games and he’s now hoping he can stay in the side for Tuesday’s visit of West Brom:

“I felt fine,”

“It was nice to get 80 minutes under my belt. Hopefully I will be sharper on Tuesday if selected.

“I feel good after the game and it depends if the manager thinks I have done enough.”
